Asian Mineral Resources (“ASN”) is one of Widespread’s largest investments. This shareholding, now held in our financial statements at market value, represents 8.2 % of Widespread’s total assets at ASN’s current market value of 8 cents.   

China based King Solomon Mines (“KSO”) is one of Widespread’s largest investments. We are the largest individual shareholder in KSO with a holding of 5.1%.

ASN made the following announcement in Canada last night. Of particular significance is the mention of the smelter feasibility study.

Widespread holds PEP 38526 which is located north of Lake Brunner, on the West Coast, South Island. The permit covers the northern half of the Kotuku Structure and a significant portion of the associated Grey Valley Trough.

As part of the work programme previous holder Widespread Energy drilled a stratigraphic exploration bore in mid March 2010. 

The board of Widespread has resolved to split all ordinary shares on issue in the ratio of 1 for 20.

The record date for the split is 5pm 7 August 2012 and the split will take effect as at the commencement of trading on 13 August 2012.

Widespread Portfolios Limited (Widespread) has today allotted shares under its Share Purchase Plan offer to existing shareholders dated 15 June 2012.

Widespread sought to raise capital to principally finance further work on Petroleum Exploration Permit 38526 covering the Kotuku Oil Seeps.

Widespread Portfolios Limited (NZX: WID) advises that it has received the resignation of Keith Hindle as a director of the company with effect from 5pm, Friday 6 July 2012.

Keith holds several directorships and has decided to reduce his work commitments. Keith has also resigned as a director of Chatham Rock Phosphate Limited with effect from 30 June 2012.
